Shona Ferguson (born 30 April 1974 – died 30 July 2021) was a South African actor and co-founder of Ferguson Films. He has gained popularity and made many television viewers glued to their screen.
The local actor was popular for playing the role of Dr. Lebua in Muvhango, a Mzansi soapie.

His journey in the entertainment scene could be traced back to his days in Lesotho as a Club Deejay at The Palace Hotel Night Club in 1992.

Acting career
He kicked off his career in acting playing the role of Ace on Generations, a Mzansi TV series.
In 2006, he began to act on the Muvhango, playing the role of Dr. Leabua. The role brought him into the spotlight.
In March 2007, he left the show and landed a starring role as Itumeleng on an M-Net soapie from 2011 through 2013.
Together with his wife, Shona established Ferguson Films. The couple played starring roles in Rockville.
He played the role of JB for three years (2013 through 2016) and stars as Jerry Maake on The Queen.
He played a starring role on The Gift (2014), a Ferguson Film Series.
Shona has also appeared in other TV series including Isidingo: The Need as Tyson and Alex in Scandal! In 2010, he appeared in the film, Mrs. Mandela.
Ferguson Films
He began Ferguson Films with his wife, Connie Ferguson. The film company has produced several series loved by many television viewers.
They are responsible for producing iGazi, Rockville, The Throne, The Gift, The Herd, The River, The Queen, and The Imposter.
They produced a Netflix 6 part series called Kings of Joburg in 2020.
Wife
Shona is married to Connie Ferguson, they became husband and wife in November 2001. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Alicia Angel Ferguson.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Alicia, into their family on the 7 June 2002.
Awards
He took home the Golden Horn Award for Best Actor in a TV Soap. Sho also received the Golden Horn Award for Best Achievement by a Lead Actor in a Made for TV Movie.
Death
In July 2021. the actor underwent heart surgery at Milpark hospital. Ferguson had complained of chest pains. On 30 July 2021, the renowned actor was reported dead at the hospital.
A family statement issued on his account on social media, he died from complications from COVID-19. At the time of his death, Shona Ferguson was aged 47.
