Florence Masebe was born on 14 November 1972 in the northernmost province of Limpopo in South Africa. She has not talked about her early life and childhood experience in interviews yet.

Florence is married to Kagiso Machele, a Sowetan asset management professional. She and her husband exchanged their marital vows after being in a five-year relationship.
The memorable traditional ceremony was held on 24 February 2001 at the bride’s home in Mathebula village, Northern Province.

Shooting
In 2019, she took to Twitter to share with followers the shooting she experienced and survived. She was shot on 18 August 1999 and forty bullets were left in her. This incident occurred outside her home.
Though this was not be the only heartbreaking incident she had endured. In 2015, the actress lost her baby boy who was 18-months-old. Masakona passed away after he drowned at the swimming pool in their home.
Even after this sad experience, a woman pressed the injury even more. She harassed Florence for years after her son’s demise accusing her of copying on of her blog stories. This enraged Florence and vowed to deal with the woman whenever she finds her.
