Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, popularly known as Wande Coal, was born on the 18th of October, 1985, in Lagos State, Nigeria, to the family of Chief Ibukun Olufunto Ojosipe and Mrs. Omolara Oluwayemisi Ojosipe.
He attended the Staff Nursery and Primary School in Ijanikin, Lagos State, for his primary school education. Wande Coal attended the Federal Government College in Ijanikin for his secondary education before proceeding to the university.

Career
While Wande Coal was growing up, he participated in the church choir and started to learn a lot about music. His major break came when he met Don Jazzy and D’banj, the then founders of Mo’ Hits Records, a music-producing company that he later signed and worked under for years.
Wande Coal showcased his musical talent after featuring on D’banj’s singles, including Why Me, Loke, and Tonsibe. After that, he released his single “Ololufe,” a song in his album “Curriculum Vitae” (CV), which massively helped to increase his popularity and acceptance in the music industry.
Wande Coal later signed under “Mavin Records” in 2013 after the co-founders of Mo’ Hits disagreed and broke out. Under Mavin Records, he released several songs with his album “Mushin 2 Mo’ Hits,” also making waves.
